With the Alu Recycled Induction cookware series you are setting an example for the sustainable use of resources!
The pan body of the 25 cm crepe pan is made from 100% recycled aluminum cans (34 pieces) and is therefore not only good for the environment, but also high quality and food-safe. By using recycled, so-called secondary aluminum, a particularly homogeneous consistency with optimal hardness properties is achieved. The ergonomic plastic handle guarantees easy handling and is particularly secure thanks to double riveting.
b.nature sealing: In addition, the 25 cm crepe pan is coated with our new b.nature quartz sealing, which guarantees an aroma-neutral and genuine taste and is at the same time ideal for preparing flour and egg dishes. The combination of sealing and aluminum ensures efficient heat transfer. For a small ecological footprint with maximum enjoyment! Even after the pan has been disposed of, it can be recycled at any time.
100% recycled cans are used - food-safe. This is not only good for the environment, it also allows us to achieve a particularly homogeneous consistency of the secondary aluminum with very good hardness properties. Berndes actively supports the activities for collecting and processing recyclable waste.
I purchased two of these crêpe pans and was very disappointed. Both warped as soon as they were heated, one was damaged after only the second use, and they emit an unpleasant chemical odor during cooking. Poor quality and not recommended.

Firstly, regarding the smell: we regularly test all pans in our laboratories and subject them to rigorous testing. These pans do not emit any odours, especially as the coating is a highly heat-resistant mineral coating without PFAS/PTFE.
Regarding the warping of the base: this may be slightly more pronounced due to the design and material thickness of this product.
Particularly when heated quickly and to a high temperature, different stresses occur in the base (inductive material) and the aluminium, which can lead to slight warping. However, this is normal and also occurs with comparable pans.
