However, braising, steaming and cooking can only be really enjoyable with the right cookware. High-quality pots make a significant contribution to success and enable food to be prepared gently.
However, braising, steaming and cooking can only be really enjoyable with the right cookware. High-quality pots make a significant contribution to success and enable food to be prepared gently.
For almost 100 years, the Berndes brand has been a guarantee of high-quality cooking pots. They are used in countless kitchens around the world and prove themselves millions of times every day. Find exactly the pot that is still missing in your kitchen, or treat yourself to a complete Berndes pot set!
Which pots do I actually need?
Berndes offers cooking pots in many different sizes and designs. There is a reason for this, because certain foods or types of preparation simply work best in the right pot. Your basic equipment should definitely include a good meat pot. It is medium high, but is by no means just suitable for preparing meat. You can also cook rice, pasta and vegetables in it. The meat pot is a real all-rounder in the kitchen and is used every day in many households.
The saucepan is also called a casserole and is always the right cookware when it comes to food that burns easily. Whether for tossing fresh vegetables or preparing fine sauces, the long handle guarantees you very comfortable handling. Stir with one hand, hold with the other hand: with a saucepan from Berndes you can let your creativity run wild in the kitchen!
Cooking pots for special requirements: Which ones shouldn't be missing?
The casserole is also part of the basic kitchen equipment. It is relatively flat and can be round, square or oval. As the name suggests, foods such as chicken or goose legs braise in their own juice in a casserole. This is done deliberately very slowly, because then the food becomes so tender that it practically melts in your mouth.
If you love a foamy zabaglione, tempting rice pudding or a classic hollandaise sauce, you need a simmering pot. It makes the otherwise laborious process of heating delicate foods in a water bath unnecessary and ensures that nothing boils over or burns. Hobby cooks swear by the simmering pot because it saves a lot of time and work. By the way, handling is extremely easy and no problem at all even for laypeople.
And then there is the milk pot . It has a rather small diameter and a high pot wall. Thanks to this special design, the milk cannot boil over so quickly. In contrast to the usually double-walled simmering pot, the milk pot is single-walled.
By the way: Berndes has developed the right cookware for all requirements. Benefit from our almost hundred years of experience and know-how!
Cast iron pots from Berndes: What advantages do they have?
Cast iron pots score points above all with their excellent thermal conductivity, which in turn has several advantages. On the one hand, the food can be prepared very gently and gently, and on the other hand, it stays warm in the pot for a long time, which in many cases makes warming up unnecessary.
For example, you can prepare a hearty “party pot” for your guests and serve it as needed. Thanks to their enormous heat resistance, cast iron pots are also very suitable for searing. Our tip: Just take a look at the cast pots from Berndes! With their enormous durability, impressive functionality and attractive design variants, they are an enrichment for every kitchen.

The pot set for induction: What do I have to pay attention to?
Would you like to buy a pot set from Berndes and use an induction cooker? Then choose an induction pot set . These pots have a special base with ferromagnetic properties. If the bottom of the pot does not have magnetic conductivity, no heat is generated at the bottom of the pot. Conventional cooking pots made of aluminum or stainless steel are therefore not suitable for induction cookers.
If you have purchased a suitable stove, you may need new pots. But that doesn't matter, because at Berndes you will of course find the right pot set for induction!
