Which type of frying pan is the right one?
• Stainless steel pan
A universal pan that everyone can use. It is perfect for searing fish, meat, fried eggs and also tofu. This is the only way to create the desired roasted aroma. Stainless steel pans are very durable.
The Berndes pan made of stainless steel has a special thick base. This completely compensates for the fact that stainless steel is inherently a poor conductor of heat.
• Cast iron pan
It is characterized by very good heat conduction and is also very heat-resistant. They say the best fried potatoes are made in a cast iron skillet. They are also good for stews. However, there is no seal here, which is why you should definitely use a good frying fat with a cast iron pan.
•Cast aluminum frying pan
Very popular because it is light. Nevertheless, it is very stable and distributes and stores the heat optimally. It will take some time for the pan to heat up. Berndes ceramic pans are made of aluminum and also have a ceramic coating. They are well suited for low-fat diets because the coating means you need less frying fat.
Which frying pan for which stove?
• Induction cooker
For an induction cooker you need cookware with a magnetic base. In principle, you can use a magnet to find out whether your frying pan is suitable for induction. How good an induction pan is depends on its base. The pan body, i.e. the interior, can also be made of a non-magnetic material. The better the pan base, the better the energy efficiency.
• Electric stove or stove with glass ceramic hob
You can use any cookware that sits flat on these stoves. It is important that the bottom of your frying pan does not bulge. This is the only way to distribute the heat evenly.
• Gas stove
You can basically use all types of cookware with a gas stove. The only exception is cookware with an external seal. This is not always suitable for a gas stove. On a gas stove, it doesn't matter whether the bottom of a frying pan is straight.
